
As a Postal employee, I get to say: "we do a LOT of things right", and it often is overlooked or taken for granted. After all, I grumble over postage costs, just as any patron and hope that cost-saving proposals are approved by Congress.
Some of you may remember a few blogs back about the USPS getting approval to no longer delivernewspapers or magazines depicting animal cruelty by story/pictures. Mainly the largest offender was about "cock-fighting", which is illegal and abhorrent to most.
Today, we all sported various green, whether clothing or fun accessories.And today's USPS announcement :

The pictures of shelter pets were adopted through Animal Welfare Society of New Milford, CT.
Ellen co-owner of Halo pet food company will donate 1 million meals to shelter pets across the country
A commenorative cancellation will be set up on postal machines, April 30-May 14th
The USPS hopes that these stamps will encourage pet adoption and promote humane and responsible pet care
